The confidentiality and security of your data is of prime concern
to the developers of Bastion.
|
 |
Access control
Its up to you who can use Bastion, and what each person
can see. Everyone will be assigned an individual username and password,
and you can assign to that login account custom access privileges
so your staff and management cannot access information which you
dont want them to see. You can change passwords and privileges
whenever you like.
The authentication of users to the software is managed using the
Macromedia Coldfusion Application Framework.

 |
SSL Encryption
All information passed to and from the Bastion system is passed
over an Encrypted Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Connection. An encrypted
SSL connection requires all information sent between a client and
a server to be encrypted by the sending software and decrypted by
the receiving software, thus providing a high degree of confidentiality.
In addition, all data sent over the encrypted SSL connection is protected
with a mechanism for detecting tampering - that is, for automatically
determining whether the data has been altered in transit. (Hosted
option only). |
 |
Server security
Your data will be kept on a Windows 2000 server protected using the
Windows 2000 Security Model. In addition the server sits behind a
SonicWall firewall. SonicWall use stateful multi-layer inspection,
the most advanced firewall technology available, to detect and thwart
all known hackers and DoS attacks. (Hosted option only). |
 |
Backups
In addition to these security measures we also take nightly backups
of your data to make sure that there is no chance you can lose data
either through user error or hardware error. (Hosted option only).
